Eclipse seasons |
An eclipse season occurs as the Moon comes close to the ascending node, and an increased likelihood of syzergies becoming eclipses. About six months later the Moon arrives at the opposite point of her orbit around the Sun, close to the descending node, causing a likelihood of eclipses. So there are two eclipse seasons a year. The two seasons are actually 173.3 days apart, making the eclipse seasons regress, backward through the Zodiac, eventually the eclipses occur in every Zodiac sign. |
