How to make the most of your energy healing experience. [this applies to re-connective healing, reiki, hands-on healing and other disciplines]

These guidelines come from my own experiences over the years and through my own understanding of how healing occurs, it is not endorsed by any other healing societies or practices, but I hope that it may be useful to those who are wanting to know how to improve their own healing skills or gain the most out of their personal healing experience.

Healing can occur in an instant! or if there is a lot of mind resistance and chatter it can take a number of sessions, particularly if “beliefs” need to be broken down.

You may ask what is mind resistance?

Mind resistance occurs if a person has an invested interest in staying as they are [although they do want to get better too]; perhaps relatives rally around and the clients illness is at the centre hub of the family, the illness gives carers a reason to visit on a daily basis, or there may be possible insurance claims or co-dependency in relationships, and any changes in their condition will bring about an inevitable change in relationship with others.

The illness may become an excuse to not move forward in life, or take responsibility for their own life. Sometimes illness is a self punishment, judged and dealt out by the mind.

What is mind chatter?

Mind consciousness can only be associated with time [the past or the future], the thoughtful mind cannot be active in the now, for “now” is mental silence, a state of being, or awareness within the body and “the now” or “the present” is the necessary state of mind for a client to receive a healing.

If a person can turn off the mind just for a second, it opens a portal to “the being” or inner source, access to the inner self is necessary for healing to occur. Constant mind activity is mind chatter, and happens to an uncontrolled mind.

The second it takes for a healing to occur can happen during any moment the mind is switched off, when a person is in the state of watchful alertness, or by being stunned into mind silence, perhaps by a comment or reaction, even watching a magnificent sun rise can quiet the mind for something magnificent to happen.

Are you saying that healing only occurs when the mind is silent?

Yes, because this is when a person is most conscious and open. Unconsciousness happens as soon as the mind is active, thinking or planning.

When the mind is silent and a person is aware of their body and all around them, some people may call it “in the moment of full expectation”, like a predator about to pounce, this is the openness that brings about healing.

By laying on a massage table and relaxing, this helps to focus the mind, some people will drift off asleep and snore away quite merrily, this is okay as the consciousness has gone to the source, healing can happen, but from a healers point of view the energy body seems to have vacated, it doesn’t feel as strong as before and reactions to the healing energy/frequencies are less.

I personally never do healings on people or animals who are eating and have their consciousness elsewhere; I want their consciousness on me to have the best outcome.

Like all new healers who couldn’t wait to share, I spotted a person who looks like they could benefit from a sneaky healing, the hand goes up in an unobtrusive way and …. Nothing happens… this is because their consciousness is not focussed on what I am doing in any way. If they were focussed on me, listening, talking to, or watching me, they could have received. In fact I have had some people who have actually moved away, as if I am intrusive in their energy field, this type of healing is never a good idea, no matter how full of good intent, forcing the healing energies on another takes away peoples choices and is a form of bullying.

Some people dislike the light energy that surrounds a healer, I remember a person moving from their adjoining table in a restaurant to another distant table further away, the look of the persons face was unmistakable, he moved because he was uncomfortable, but didn’t know why, he reacted as if car headlamps were in his eyes.

I have found that distant healing needs a contract, if a person books distant healing, I give a time , and sit down and send healing during that time, I make sure the person is aware of the time and duration, and ask them to look at the clock and be aware of what is happening, this makes an energy contract. The results are much better and enhanced. I’ve tried sending healing when a person is asleep, they say they feel better, but I personally prefer to book the time and make sure they are aware, preferably relaxing somewhere and not eating!

Each time a client visits for the first time, I like to ask what they are hoping to gain from the session, this really is a loaded question, because from their answer, I can gain a lot of insight, not only to their attitude towards their illness, their openness towards receiving energy/frequencies, but also if they harbour any mental resistance or beliefs that may negate the openness required.

Also by actually putting into words, what they intend to happen, it is a clear instruction for their body cells to listen and manifest what the “boss” says, to provide a result.

Of course the healer is only a facilitator of the healing energies or frequencies that pass through them, and as such, the healer can also affect a persons healing by how they conduct themselves through the healing session.

In order for a healer to maximise the energy received and passed onto the client, the mind similarly has to be switched off and totally in the present, if a healer has a mindful of problems, and is thinking about them while healing, then the amount of consciousness taken up with the healing energies/frequencies is greatly reduced, as energy follows consciousness. A deep thinking healer effectively reduces the vitality of the energy that passes through them, much energy is used in thinking.

By staying in “the present, the now”, in a state of awareness, the intuition is strengthened and it is through the consciousness of “the now” that the healing energies are received by another and of course ourselves.

Illness and dis-ease in a person can usually be traced back to either some “consciousness” event or crisis, that activated the unconscious “ pain body”.

The pain body holds within itself all the memories of all the past hurts and slights and emotions, and for women, the pain body also has a universal element that taps into the collective pain body with every monthly cycle, [if it is allowed to remain unconscious and unwatched]. It is the pain body that gives aches and pains in the body, where ever there is a conflict in consciousness, the body will experience dis-ease.

The mind loves to create enemies and oppositions within itself and between other people, it is the nature of duality to create fears and make a person suffer as much as possible, by a person associating with a belief or a fear, it gives it energy and a life and justifies the mind who fights for existence. The ego also likes to tap into the pain body and create havoc there too, this gives the illusion that the mind is the person, or the ego is the person, whatever a person will identify with gives life to the belief presented. The real essence of a person is the now, which can only be accessed when fully here and alert and were the mind and ego cannot exist.

The way we think and believe therefore does effect the state of our health, but what is very pleasing to know is that if we can change the way we think! We can change our health and our body. Once again showing that what happens to the body is the result of the mind and its negative thinking.

Negative thinking is anything that does not accept situations as they are! Resistance to outcomes that we have no control over [i.e being sacked or rejected or the loss of a loved one] the mind will if it is permitted and not controlled will come up with revenge and depression or placing blame and jealousy etc.

What is your view on traditional medicine and healing work, can they be combined?

Yes! Never give up or stop any medication prescribed by a doctor, healings occur while people take their prescribed medication. Energy facilitators are not medical doctors and therefore are not legally able to diagnose or treat patients. As a practitioner I have clients, not patients.

How are you so sure that healing and the mind are linked?

Through the study of consciousness, which to me came through the practice of astrology.

When I first started learning astrology I was convinced I would die at least 10 times in that first year, and then when I didn’t and much of the other “stuff” never happened I was torn between thinking that it didn’t work every time, and therefore it was an unpredictable , predictable science! But this was my naivety, astrology cannot be learnt in a few years, but ten years later I knew quite different, before any chart can be subject to time and planetary transits it has to be understood.

The clue is always in knowing the whole life first, what gift a person came in to use, the objective of the life, lessons, what is being learnt and given to the world, what a person leaves behind after their death.

Some people intuit their life paths completely wrong and become ill, others catch on quickly and enhance their life with riches and expand in every conceivable way that is in keeping with the chart, that the original life plan looks like a shadow of their real achievements.

At some stage I realized the astrological chart was one of consciousness, representing the whole of a persons life and the interaction with others, the DNA, at another time I realized why counselling could never work, because the rules of physics dictates that energy goes where ever consciousness goes, inevitably this means that if the mind is caught up in examining the past, with no access to the now where there is forgiveness and healing, it can only make a person worse not better. Counselling allows the mind to agitate the pain body and give energy to a past problem, making it bigger than ever, how many people cry during counselling sessions?

I realized that the mind is not the person, the person is not the ego, that I exist in the stillness of my own mind, in a state of peace and love and awareness, a state of being, existing. That judgement only ever comes from my own the mind, which needs to be strictly controlled and disciplined, many people think they are their mind, which can lead to all sorts of mental health issues.

Pain comes when the self is identified with an outcome or the ego.

I realized also that I could not access my inner peace without forgiveness, for others and myself. Forgiveness is not something the mind trades in, so it stills the mind instantly. This centre of source is place of enlightenment and healing.

Can a person change their life so radically?

Yes! I’ve seen it! Healing means changing consciousness, not allowing the mud to stick, not getting involved in life’s drama, being accepting and not fighting of what is, or events that appear to take away something of value, but in reality is a gift of strife to let go of an illusion, the real gift of life comes from a peaceful heart.

Healing the world is raising the consciousness of everyone on it, to a higher state of awareness.
