Heliacal

Is the “rising and setting” with either the Sun or the Moon. If a planet is to rise or set with the sun, it has to be within 30 degrees of the Sun, or just 17 degrees with the Moon. The first day of the early Egyptian calendar was based on the heliacal rising of the Sun with Sirius. This event coincided with the start of the annual flood of the river Nile.
